The beginning

Hello, my name is Daniel Aboytes and I’m from Celaya, Guanajuato, México. I’m 22 years old, almost 23 next april 13th. My sports life began 8 years ago when I was 15, I met a friend who used to do triathlons, He invited me to one of his cycling sessions and I agreed to go. I remember that day because I ended very tired but happy so I decided to do it again until I could be on the top of the local races, fortunately I achieved more than local races, I kept training and racing for about 2 years and I could be 4 years in the state selection to race national olympics and championships in the youth and pro categories, but the dream stopped when in 2011I had a crash during a race, in that time I was on my best top of form. After that I decided to stop racing in cycling races and start to pursue a career as nutritionist, since then I’ve dedicated my time to study and work as a certified Spinning instructor giving orientation to my friends and clients involved in sports, actually I’m traveling monthly to Mèxico City for an Sports Nutrition course.

Few times I’ve tried to make people know about new and interesting things between sports and nutrition but I haven´t found the right way before. This time I’m just one year before finishing my university studies so I decided to start making a reflection about the crucial things related to nutrition that determine a good performance in and out of the sport practice.

First of all we have to know that food is and always will be the unique source of fuel for our body and without it, we simply won’t be able to realize our activities with a 100% of effectiveness. These activities relate to all aspects of life such as health, social gatherings, household and scholar responsibilities as well as sports activities whether recreational, fitness or high performance level.

As people who practice sports regularly we must keep in mind that a proper nutrition will make the difference between the winner or the loser and can be an important help among those 60, 45 or 30 seconds less than our previous best time in any sport practice that we like.

So, in the next posts I’ll we be talking about different details that can make us better in sports and life and have a healthy, fun and better lifestyle.
